I read this when I lived in Italy for a fall. It was the perfect jump-start to a beautiful season.

I never got to finish this book - I left it on a plane whilst flying to Asia on a journey much like the author's. What i read of the book was accessible, interesting, humorous and relatable. I can't wait to buy another copy to read!

An enjoyable read on many levels. Gilbert shares her wit, wisdom and pain as she journeys from the depths of despair in New York to a life of joy via Italy, India and Bali. Her observations of life are considered and insightful. This is a book to reflect on long after the last page is read.

The author chronicles her search for spiritual balance through Italy, India and Bali. Thoughtful, positive and funny. I borrowed the book and will be buying my own copy.

This was such an immensely pleasing book to read! It gives an insight into the writer's mind and life - and even for a non-religious, definitely non-meditating woman like me it was interesting to read about the writer's immersion in an ashram and her search for spiritual enlightenment.
