If you've looked for books about understanding body language, you've probably found the same thing I have: there aren't many good choices. Maybe this is simply due to the live, in-person nature of the topic. Still, while there isn't a perfect resource out there, this book has been the best that I've seen.

Some people seem to naturally read, and consciously comprehend body language. For others, like myself, body language is something of a black art. Sure, we still process it subconsciously, but on a conscious level we can't understand why we feel so welcome by some people and so unwelcome by others. Or worse, we don't understand what WE are doing to make others feel unwelcome by us. This book does a very good job of explaining those things. When you're done reading you'll want more, but you'll at least get some useful information out of this book before you set it down.

Also, as a side note, I found that a number of examples given in the book might be of interest to poker players who want to learn to recognize signs of discomfort or "bluffing".
