This book was good. but it was mostly just a filler that was leading up to the next book.

I read the first book and fell in love with the characters and the places. I want to see how the story continues.

This was not as good as the first book in the series. Even though things were left unsolved in the first book this book stretches them out and makes them seem more important. Also the relationships in the first book are pretty much established so the author tries to change things to make the plot and the characters more interesting in this book. I thought this book was good but not as great as the first one. Clary is still as stubborn and clueless as ever and Jace remains as angsty as before but the thing that is laking in the plot makes them seem sort of annoying in this book. If you read the first book I would recommend this book but as a warning it wasn't as good as the first.

Satisfies all the questions left from the first book but creates more of its own for the third. Wonderfully written and keeps up the creativity without a hitch.

Jace is so arrogant....I LOVE HIM!!!! I love all the characters, and the writing style, and the action sequences, and the humour! I love EVERYTHING!!! I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Cassandra Clare is an enjoyable author. It's like I'm not reading a YA novel at all and I love that. Her analogies all throughout the book are done in such a way that you can picture exactly what she's trying to say to the captive audience; they lead right to comprehension, making one appreciate the book all the more for them!

27-Dec: I've just begun yesterday and I already reached Part 2, the book is really good, this series gets more intresting with every flip of a page, I can't get enough I really want to see what will happen next!! How will the author fix Jace and Clary's situation?! will they stay brother and a sister or will she suddenly bring a missing fact to the table?!
28-Dec: Chapter 8, The Seelie Court. p.159-163: I believe this was the best kiss in history, and especially now that I am sure that Jace is not Clary's brother. and for God sake can anybody remove Simon from the book? he really annoys me!! I was so impressed by the author's description of the Fairies World, she made it seem so real, full of new informations and beauty.
29-Dec: I am so happy that Simon is dating Maia and leaving Clary!! But then again I was disappointed that Jace decided otherwise!!
