Of course the idea is creepy, but I can't stand either Jace or Clary to be unhappy - I think maybe there will be a twist in the third book?

its crazy cuz its so creepy for them to be together if they are bro. and sis.!!! but i want them together so bad i almost dont care!! lol i think they will end up together and happy!!! at lest i hope..... if not i will rewrite the end!! lol

I definitely think that the Clare would make it clear on the third, there is not way that she would've drag us all this long just leave it at them really being siblings. IF that is the case I think I would simultaneous puke and cry my eyes out.
Personally I don't think they are related at all, there were a lot hints and clues in COA to make me believe that they are not related.posted 4 years ago.

I wish they werent related. But if they were toguether, they would both be happy. I know its creepy but, i almost dont care. Some things they say in COA give like hints they aren't related. Maybe Valentine was just messing with them. who knows?

The thing is that this series has so many twists that it would not surprise me if they turn out not to be siblings. Plus, I think everyone would prefer it that way (or at least most everyone)

I would like to thank the "SPOILERS" because I wasn't going to read books 2 & 3 because of the whole sibling thing...What can I say, I am a hopeless romantic!! Anyway, now I am excited about my new-found happiness in reading the next two books!!! Thanks for asking for me, living dead girl!!

They really have a connection so I hope that Jace isn't actually Clary's brother. I would go off the deep end if my first kiss was with my brother (ick!). I haven't started the second book yet but I'm getting it today. The series so far is well thought out and full of action.

I do find the whole Jace and Clary thing weird, but on the other hand I find myself rooting for them to be together. I doubt that their actually brother and sister towards the end of the second book when Clary and Valentine are talking there is a clue given that hints that they might not be sister and brother.

i have read them all and i went from happy with the first, then pissed. i was like nooooooooo that cant be right...lmao im a writer myself so i was thinkin bout how i would hav done the plot and i figured out the third book before i even read it. but i lloved jace and clary in the last book...he was so jealous...

I loved this book! I'm already started on the third, which is the last in the series sadly. If you've never read The Mortal Instruments Series, I highly recommend that you do. You'll absolutely love them!

it certainly was amazing. but if you havent finished youll discover the mass amount of mistakes that sometimes leave you confused. anyhow, this is my favorite series of all time and im glad someone else feels the same

As much as it disturbs me I can't stop rooting for Clary and Jace to be together! I have a feeling he's not really her brother. It was the way the Inquisitor acted and some things Valentine said toward the end of the book. I have to give the writer kudos for taking risks with her narrative. Having a couple who is related and a homosexual couple in the same book and yet neither of these things seems to overpower the plot. It gives it a more real feeling.
