“The concept of this book was so laugh-out-loud funny that I read it in a day. Audrey has just broken up with her loser, pot-smoking, musician boyfriend, Evan. She still attends his local concert that night out of guilt and that's when all her problems start. Evan has written a song about her, "Audrey, Wait!" and the next thing Audrey knows it's the new hit song and Evan's band is going national. Everywhere Audrey goes, she hears the song. The paparazzi is banging down her door, demanding a reaction or comment and she's constantly getting misquoted, causing even more problems. Her parents are at their wit's end and ready to hire a lawyer and sue. What's worse is Audrey has just realized she's crushing on her shy coworker at the ice cream parlor and she doesn't know how he feels about her.
This book puts a new spin on the everyday high school angst teenagers deal with. As if high school isn't bad enough, could you imagine if the entire country knew all the particulars of your latest breakup and believe it's all your fault? The characters are all fun, especially Audrey's sharp-tongued witty best friend, Victoria - everyone wishes they had a friend like Victoria! For a fun breezy read, I highly recommend this book. I gave it four stars rather than five as the F word is used quite frequently, making it a more suitable read for older readers.”
