Another read to you finish book. The characters continue to grow and develop. The relationships are real and it is nice to see Alex and Robin enjoying life again. Of course, Blanche keeps everyone straight.

    Good read

eh. Was expecting something more "thrilling". Each chapter seemed to start somewhere else and I couldn't connect the story at times.

I usually really like this author but I have to say skip this one and read an older one instead.

I tend to look upon the Alex Delaware novels as brain candy -- an interesting puzzle to figure out along with Alex and Milo. They don't take too much thought from me, adn there's always an interesting take on the abnormal psychology of the perpetrator.

It ain't literature, that's for sure, but it's always fun catching up with Alex and Robin and Milo and Rick. Great beach read.

What a boring book. I usually like Alex Delaware and Milo but I got half way through and still wasn't interested so I just closed it and went on to something more interesting. This was a bummer!

Not the best Alex Delaware book I've ever read, but OK.

I love the Alex Delaware series. This book is great. I love the investigation parts in these books. If you people haven't read this book you need to.

Compulsion, by Jonathan Kellerman today is one of the worst books that I have read in a long time.

It focuses on Detective Milo Sturgis and his best friend-cum-psychologist-cum-confidante, Alex Delaware. It sees them investigate a guy who seems to "borrow" high end luxury cars (Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Lexuses and the like) to commit murder. One he's used them, he returns them to their owners, who often have no idea what's gone on inside them. It's the clue that's left in a "borrowed" Bentley on their patch that sees Sturgis and Delaware being called in.

The problem is that the reasoning the psychopath uses to borrow the cars and commit the murders is so far beyond belief that it's gone so far beyond the "belief horizon" that it's come up behind you. In addition, it's more than a little tacky if I'm honest. I won't go into details, but I actually felt a little dirty for reading it, which isn't something that happens to me that often!
