I really like this author, but I'm not sure that this book can match previous efforts. This is good, but hardly above average. I'll read the sequel and hopefully Murphy will give more of the quality I fell for when she wrote the 'Urban Shaman' books.

Fantasy without your typical vampire/werewolf/etc etc. :] There should be a book dedicated to Janx because he is awesome. The ending felt a little rushed. There could have been less buliding up (kind of slow in the beginning) and more action in the end.

I love CE Murphy's books and this may be my favorite yet! Who knew gargoyles were so sexy!

Wow! I just finished reading this book and this is going to be a can't miss trilogy. The author says in her preface that, "This book is the result of more butt-in-chair work than I want to think about" and it has certainly paid off. This is her best work yet.
I cannot wait for the next one!
