I think this book is one of Bryson's best. Good mixture of serious and funny. I loved the episode where he got sunburned like a tomato and everyone was looking at him funny..classic. Australia really is a lucky country but I heard a few Aussies didn't like this book (?) however I think most Australians have a sense of humour. Both made for each other.

I thought this book was great. Good mix of current stories of his travels along with the history and fun facts about Australia. I would recommend it for anyone whose traveled to Australia, or who wants to for that matter. First book I read by this author, but am now reading another one of his books. His style is right up my alley.

I LOVED this book. This was my first Bill Bryson read and now I am hooked. This is a book I could read over & over again. I couldn't believe this was one of the textbooks for my Australia/New Zealand course.
