Interesting for music lovers but the narrative is pretty muddled...almost like it's stream of consciousness. You never get a good sense of time since the stories jump all over the place. It's also, quite frankly, a little depressing. Boyd was a real beauty though - the photographs are neat.

Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll. Gossipy book by the wife and muse of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Lots of name dropping and interesting anecdotes about the 60's and 70's rock scene. Fun and fast, though somewhat forgettable.

I liked this book because it was the true story about the life of Patti Boyd. Patti Boyd was a famous model who was married to George Harrison and then to Eric Clapton. This book took place in the sixties, and allowed the reader to get an inside view on the lives of people from the bands. Many people believe that famous band members live wealthy, happy lives. This book shows the true experiences of famous band members, such as George Harrison from the Beatles. Patti Boyd's life changed forever since the day she got involved in the life of Rock and Roll. After her marriage to George Harrison, she met Eric Clapton. Soon after they got married, and her life of riches yet many obstacles continued. Patti Boyd faced many problems such as judging views from the public. I liked this book because it took place in a time period which I am very interested in. It included bands and people who I look up to.

This was a great book, although it was a little too feminist and all love-airy for me to truly admire. In this book, famous rock-celebriy girlfriend Pattie Boyd writes about her experiences with George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and other famous rock musicians. Through this book, I learned that many legendary rock songs, including Layla by Derek and the Dominos (a great song by Clapton), Something by the Beatles, and other songs were directly influenced by, and in association with, Pattie Boyd. I, myself, as you may know, am really into rock music and I am just curious to know about the lives behind the genius people who wrote some brilliant music, and reading about Pattie Boyd helped me to better understand who Clapton and Harrison were, and the methods of which they went about writing music. It is different, however, because Clapton and Harrison did not seem as geniune, musically, to Boyd as they would have been to other musicians. It is still a great book and I advise anyone interested in Harrison, Clapton, or rock music to read it.

Wife of George Harrison. Then wife of Eric Clapton. The life story of the muse of two famous and powerful musicians. What did they see in her? I had a pretty large sense of curiosity. I walked away thinking: spoiled, entitled, yes - she was very pretty when young, not a strong sense of self, though. A bit adrift and out of her element. She seemed to come more into her own late in life. Someone who didn't take the reins of her own life. Things just sort of "happened to her". There's a nice section of rare photos.

The beginning is a bit slow - her childhood helps you to understand her but let's face it, it's not the reason you picked up the book. I'm currently reading about her marriage to George Harrison and I am enthralled!

To be sure, Pattie Boyd had plenty of pain and heartache in her life, as both George Harrison and Eric Clapton were unfaithful and absentee husbands. Drug and alcohol addictions plagued Clapton and she was unable to have children with either. But, oh, to be pursued, loved and adored by both of these Rock icons, and have some of classic rock's most passionate love songs written about YOU...it might have been worth it! She doesn't seem to have any real regrets. A very compelling look behind the scenes of relationships that were envied the world over.

Ms. Boyd details her marriages to two of rock's most famous men- Harrison and Clapton. While her marriage to Harrison was happy at first they ultimately divorce and she later marries Clapton. Her marriage to Clapton is miserable and they too divorce. It's painful to read that she, sadly, ends up pining for Harrison and what may of been if she could of work things out. I think this is a bit of rose colored glasses being that it was Harrison's infidelity that broke them up.
I hope that Ms. Boyd finds resolve in telling her story. It's down right painful
to read about Harrison ignoring her and Clapton's drug addiction and endless whoring. A good read for anyone interested in the inside of the rock world.
