There's not adequate words to describe how powerful The Shack is. The new view on how we see and experience life, relationships, grief, faith, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit would be refreshing enough, but it's woven well through a emotional story that carries you through a transformational...

This was a well written book with more imagination and better storytelling than most Christian "Novels." In spite of some redeeming qualities, like grace and getting over hurts, the negatives outweighed the positives.

There is a lot of confusion over the gospel and a surprising lack of...

After his daughter is kidnapped and dies tragically, Mack gets a letter from God asking him to come out to the woods. There, he meets God the father, son and holy spirit. He learns lessons such as God has plans for us even if we don't understand them and The three parts of the Trinity are in constant conversation and work together in order to love everyone on earth. With help from God, Mack is able to begin forgive his daughter's killer, reconcile with his father, and help his other daughter, who blames herself for the young one's death.

Thought-provoking. I spent a week after reading this thinking about my own perception of how God works.

I enjoyed this book because the Trinity was explained to me like "He" is protrayed in the book. although, I had never thoguht of God as a woman. The sorty made me realize how much God knows is/what/ and will go on in my life. A good book.

I didn't finish this one. And I think the "I hated it " doesn't really describe how I felt but neither did "I like it". The beginning was easy to read but tragic. I didn't stop reading it because I was offended of how he saw the Godhead. It was just too strange for me to wrap my head around and I just simply lost interest.

This book is very unusual, but thought provoking. It moved me and I think it is a great way to view God's love for us.

Compelling but I think misleading. The maker of the universe may be a tender lover of all his creation but he also warns that he is a mighty judge!

Great read. Very sad, but mind provoking. Went to church after reading!
