Kitty's radio show is as popular as ever and she has a boyfriend who actually seems to understand her. Can she finally settle down to a normal life? Not if this is just the calm before the storm. When her mother falls ill, Kitty rushes back to Denver--and right back to the abusive pack of werewolves she escaped a year ago. To make matters worse, a war is brewing between the city's two oldest vampires, threatening the whole supernatural community. Though she wants to stay neutral, Kitty is again drawn into a world of politics and violence. To protect her family, her lover, and herself, she'll have to choose sides. And maybe become what she hates--a killer.

Really, great novel! I love how each book in the continuation of Kitty has all these interesting twists and turns. I continue to enjoy the different characters, the flow and the overall quality of the series.

Each of her books gets better and better. This is another excellent, quick, fun read. There is a little romance, a lot of action, and a kick ass heroine who doubts herself the same way most of us women do. She is even more relatable in this book as she faces the consequences of being a female and a werewolf. Unfortunately the library doesn't carry the last two, I have requested them but it may be awhile before I can read them.

Fun stuff. This is the fourth one and I don't think I'll read anymore.

Kitty's mom has cancer so she must finally return home to Denver and face the alphas she left behind. Thing is, the powers in Denver are shifting faster than a wolf on a full moon and Kitty is right in the thick of things as usual. Will she be able to ride the wave and keep herself and her new mate safe?

Really enjoyed this one and very happy I stuck with the series. Eagerly looking forward to the next 2 which I'll need to go pick up. Kitty has evolved a bit tho I still want to learn more about Ben and Cormac's past. Seems like there is still quite a bit that isn't being told there.

I love the Kitty Norville series! I'm terribly disappointed in myself for falling behind on this series, but I'll be remedying that now as I'm currently reading book five, [a href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/0446199532?tag=cheriepie-20" target="_blank"]Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand[/a], and plan to read book six, [a href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/0446199540?tag=cheriepie-20" target="_blank"]Kitty Raises Hell[/a], immediately or very shortly after that.

In this fourth installment of the popular series, Kitty has returned to Denver to deal with family issues. Unfortunately, the alpha and his mate of the werewolf pack she ran away from is not happy to see her back in town. To make matters worse, the vampires have their own power struggle going on, and Carl's werewolf pack is right smack in the middle of the action, leading him to believe that Kitty is secretly aiding the potential usurper of the (Vampire) Master of Denver. With Ben at her side, Kitty takes a stand. But you'll have to read the book to find out what happens next! ;)

If you haven't yet started this series, what are you waiting for? Carrie Vaughn delivers an action-packed urban fantasy with tough yet endearing characters you can't help but fall in love with!

This series is finally starting to pick up for me. Kitty is getting stronger and in this book we finally see her stop running and face her past.

There are also developments in her relationship with Ben, and also with Cormac. I think it will take me time to get used to this development, but I will come round to the idea.

All in all a very good paranormal book.
