this, the second in the series, is satisfyingly larger than the Thief and certainly just as captivating. I truly love it.”

This one is somewhat darker and at times it's hard to come to grips with the punishment that the Queen of Attolia exacts on Gen. It is amazing to see the tables turned on Gen, the trickster, and watch as he gets his dearest wish, but doesn't know what to do once he has it. Best scene: When Irene puts on her new earrings and all the subtle messages that conveys.”

“I like Book one: The Thief a lot more than this book. It was slow and overly complicated at times. She is a good author and you do feel the characters quite well. I am excited to read the next two book in this series. ”
