This book was alright but I was hoping for better. I thought that there were be a lot of high, intensity action but it was mild at best. I read the book but after I was done, it did not stick with me for very long afterwards.
What bummed me the most about the book was that I thought the elements of Alaska was going to play a bigger part in this story then it did. I was picturing someone like Kate Beckinsale’s character had to experience in the movie, Whiteout. I did not really get that from this book. In fact part of the story towards the end moved away from Alaska. A high point was that I did like Jess. She was the right balance of tough and soft.
