“I absolutely love Julie Andrews so I was thrilled when her autobiography launched. Her writing voice is just as lovely and refreshing as her singing. It was nice to get to know Mary Poppins and Freilin Maria! The only thing I didn't like was that it ended before her film-making years. I most wanted to learn more about her role in The Sound of Music and her subsequent film career. I hope this is only Part 1 of her memiors! ”

I was more than a little disappointed that the narrative stopped before the filming of Mary Poppins, one of my favorite films. I hope she writes another memoir to follow this one!”

She didn't have to do it - we're all fans and will remain fans. It's wonderful that she did, though. I really enjoyed this book and will recommend it (and loan it) to my friends. Of course, I want the rest of the story now.
Open, frank, but always respectful. A lovely job.”
“Lovely Book. This is a must read for all Julie Andrews fans. The writing is "life like", almost as though Julie Andrews stands before you and reads out of the book. ”

It was well written and provided an enjoyable insight into Julie Andrews' early life. However, I agree with other readers who said the book ended a bit abruptly and left me wanting more. I especially would have liked to read about Julie's work on Mary Poppins, and the book ends just before she starts work on the movie. Still, a very engaging read that I definitely recommend.”
