A good, gritty fantasy of man vs dragon - the way it always used to be! There's a subtle twist near the end, too, which brings the story more into our lives.
Pleasant find.

There were a few things left unexplained for me in this book, like how a larger than human dragon could fly even in heavy armor; and some of the characters were a bit shallow or just hard to believe. In the end I did enjoy it though.
If you like dragons and combat, you will probably find it enjoyable. The combat isn't the central point, but there's enough blood and gore to satisfy just about anyone, so if you don't like that it might be better to avoid this one.

This was one of my favorite books. Not anymore much but a little.

I found the writing in this book to be a little sloppy to begin with, but it gets better as it goes in. I found the Christian refs to be distracting though. Do we really need quotes from the Bible while you're trying to read a story? I don't think so. If I wanted to read rubbish, the Bible is what I would read! Because of this, I give it a four when otherwise, I would have given it a five. I find the book intreging because the dragons in it are actuall characters, rather than just monsters, which is unusual, though I think if you want to read a book about dragons, then Temeraire would be better.

Just dumb fun. Throws the idea of terrorism right in your face. What would you be a terrorist for?
