I found it fascinating, though sometimes I had to remind myself that I was reading non-fiction. What this woman went through as a child and the way her different personalities communicated through and with her was almost too unbelievable, but truth is stranger than fiction as they say.

This book was gripping, but I had a hard time believing what I was reading; for example, how could this woman have given birth after the severe physical trauma inflicted on her body as a child? It was a fascinating read, however.

This book is scrupulously detailed, but I just can't buy how ordered the personalities were. It seems as though they are way too fleshed out, perhaps to make for more interesting reading. Plus, "harrowing" seems thrown into the title for impact- maybe 'exciting' would have been a better word...interesting if you're into abnormal psychology, like I am ;-)
