Short Harlequin tale but still a great Palmer romance. A new Long Tall Texan story. Stuart York is a wealthy rancher in Jacobsville, Texas. His sister, Merrie, has been Ivy Conley's best friend since grade school. Ivy has loved Stuart all along but she is from the wrong side of the tracks and has had a brutal upbringing. Stuart loves her too but cant let on. He takes care of her from afar, however. Fun story.

Any time I'm in the mood for a romantic read, give me Diana Palmer's book before you give me any other.
In this story, the hero waits two years after the first kiss before he follows through on his romantic and erotic intentions. I love the damsel in distress segment when Stuart has to go to New York to help Ivy deal with her sister's death. Very satisfying.
