“Recently I finished one of my new favorite books, “Mass Effect: Revelation”. This book is set before the game series and answers many questions that were asked by Mass Effect fans during the game series. One of these questions was how did Saren, a Turian Spectre, find and “control” Sovereign, in the game series is Saren’s ship and later is revealed as a Reaper. Another of these questions was, how did David Anderson and Kahlee Sanders meet and what was their relationship, this question was raised in Mass Effect 3. The book explains how Humanity, referred to a lot in both the book and game as the Alliance, rose to the stars beyond our own galaxy, they found an archive on Mars from an ancient and extinct alien called the Protheans. The book also describes many alien races that the Alliance meet after The First Contact War, the name is self-explanatory, such as the Asari (a race of blue women that most resemble humans and mate by a process called joining), Turians (hard skinned humanoids), Salarian(very intelligent amphibian humanoids), and the Batarians(humanoids with for eyes). The book also explains how the governments of the galaxies works, most alien races have an embassy on a massive space station called the Citadel but must answer to the council which is made up of the Asari, Turian, and Salarian races as the only three members, for now. It also explains intergalactic space travel, ships travel through things believed to be created by the Protheans called Mass Relays. In conclusion, this is an amazing book and should be read by a fan of Mass Effect or Science Fiction or even both.”
