I thought I saw some of the references to the other books, but I didn't really catch it until now. I think that towards the end of the book she went back and forth too quickly. I had to re-read the last 5 pages or so twice just to understand the order in which the events took place. She explained all of this stuff that happened, but in so little pages. Other than that, I enjoyed the book.

She mentioned characters from almost all of her books. Popping up to make an appearance were: Remy's mom (This Lullaby), Anabel [and Owen was mentioned but never named] (Just Listen), Bert & Kristy (Truth About Forever), and Marshal and Rodgerson from Dreamland.

I liked this book, but not as much as her other ones. Just Listen is still my favorite!

I loved this book it was so fun to read. It felt like a real life situation, even though her other books do too, i thought this one was the most. There was not much teen love in this book, although that is what everyone wants. I liked the change though and could relate to it . Not everything is as romantic as her usual books. this is one of my favorites

I created a review. I am not sure why it did not show up on the comments page.

"I love Sarah Dessen but this was not one of my favorites. Truth About Forever and Just Listen are the best for the romance and Dreamland is the best for teen issues.

Ruby is a great character but I felt like Dessen tried to put too much into this one book. I wish she would focused more Ruby and not Nate, Harriet, Cora, Olivia, etc's problems too.

I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others. If this is your first time reading a Dessen then I would start with Truth About Forever."
