“This is the third book of the Beulah Land series.(written in the 70's& 80's by Lonnie Coleman) I loved all three of them. I got espcially attached to the families. From the first book through this one, it starts in the early 1800's and ends sometomes in the 1890's. It takes place in the South which we all know is very troubled at that time, through the Civil War and recovering from it and the way live changes. It iw very much a Gone With The Wind story but a little more sexually daring than just say "I don't give a damn." at the end. IK feel happy to have completed all three books, not all at once because the second two were not easy to find, but I finally got them through PBS.com. At the same time, I feel sad that it is over. Like letting go of friends. There is also a movie that was made in the 80's with some pretty big stars who were not big stars yet. The movie covers the first two books. I found that on Amazon.com.”
