“I was really surprised by how much growth I noticed in this installment. The writing and plot lines were very well done and there were less grammatical and word use/spelling errors. In this book Ward truly opens up the world! I am more than antsy in my anticipation of the next installment due to the explosion of plot lines and conflicts in this book. Unlike some readers, I did not feel that Phury and Cormia's story was lacking, however there were several moments that I was frustrated and that their story was dragging, but that was necessary character development.”Una wrote this review Monday, June 9, 2008. “I wouldn't exactly call this Phury's book, because it focuses on so many other characters; however, I found it deeply engrossing, addictive, and irresistable to put down. I read it in 12 uninterrupted hours. It may be my favorite one so far...maybe second behind Book #2. ”Goodnight Elizabeth wrote this review Saturday, June 7, 2008. “There is just so much going on in this and so much info we will have no choice but to revamp it over and over again!
I cried more in this book than I have at any other besides Z's. I laughed my behind off at a couple of parts and I mean laughed till tears were streaming down my face! I gasped at a couple of parts and had to close the book just to calm myself down and read on to find out what would happen next. We learn so much more about so many of our favorite characters and a few we didn't know diddley about. And why is it that I always seem to fall for the 'bad boys'? Two more bad boys and I'm completely smitten ~swoon~
Over all... I can say this is one of my most favorite books! I don't mean just of the Brother's, but of all the books I've read. JR has certainly outdone herself and just her writing brought me to tears a few times. I mean it! This is the BEST she has written!
“The best way to describe this book is phrickin' phrustrating! Ward takes building tension to new extremes. The writing is stronger than in previous books and there are many unanticipated twists and turns. The reason it wasn't five stars for me was because it was a little bit of bait and switch. It didn't feel like Phury's book to me. Because we are following so many characters, whom we love, there wasn't enough room for Phury and Cormin's story the way previous couples were followed. Ward also creates a formidable enemy in this book that has the potential to be more than just an irritating interuption in future books. One thing is clear, thanks to the events and choices made in this book, everything just changed. The world of our favorite brothers will never be the same again.”Snickers wrote this review Friday, June 6, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Very different from the other books in the series, in my opinion, and much less successful. While there were things that I loved to see happen, there were all to many things that left me disappointed. It was kind of depressing the entire way through and the ending left off on such an "ok then..." kind of note. By far, my least favorite of the series.”Sharon C wrote this review Thursday, June 5, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Book Six in the series The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Ms. Ward just keeps getting better. Just when I think she has done everything she finds new ways to peak my interest and keep me coming back for more. Her books are rich with detail and back story and side stories. Ms. Ward is one of the few writers that make all her people part of the story and give you not one main story, but all the side stories to make her books even more enriched. I can't wait for the next one. I recommend her to anyone who like the fantasy writers.”judy5611 wrote this review Thursday, June 5, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I thought this was a very "nice" book. Certainly a good comeback from the last two. Alot of information for us....not necessary for the brotherhood. i found that to be alittle frustrating. There were alot of great scenes to make this another wonderful installment but it is very open ended. Nothing is settled with anyone...including Comina and Phury. Rehv is going to be no joke!!!”Mrsrony wrote this review Thursday, June 5, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
