While her boss becomes entranced with a beautiful armoire at the countywide craft bazaar, Maggie can't help noticing the Amish craftsman who made it. Though his clothes may be plain, he himself is more handsome than a man sporting a jawline-only beard has any right to be. And he seems pretty aware that the ladies love his...furniture. But when the hunky craftsman turns up dead with a strange hex symbol near his corpse, Maggie wonders if the craft involved is the witchy kind.

Third in the series featuring Maggie O'Neill, an empath working at shop owned by a witch. Mildly entertaining.

Well dumb-bunny is finally "getting" it....that paranormal is "normal"...and the Hottie Cop is back and finally beginning to believe.

She's standing up to her mother a tad, there was a good mystery, and she didn't do anything really stoopid this time around.

So, they are at the Town Festival, and there are Amish there selling their wares & foods. 1 particular Amish man is Too Hot for his own good and knowing it....his wife (a "seer") gives dumb-bunny a warning and later the husband is found on the side of the road with his head bashed in...

There was a bit about Hex signs, but not really enough information there...and we get to know more about historical rumors turning into truth...lies people tell themselves....and the ghost in the library basement.

I liked this book and I'm glad I stuck with the series.

Although I find there are way too many paranormal mystery series out there, I cannot help myself from picking them up and enjoying them thoroughly. They're like crack! Addictive! Mind, I'm not complaining, but I read them quicker than they are being published...lol

This book does not disappoint. Maggie is an empath, she has the ability to feel other people's emotions and sometimes even the reason behind the emotions that they're having. And she knows that something "evil" is happening around/in her small town Indiana, Stony Mill. Although she hasn't yet became a Wiccan, she is learning and discovering different aspects of her gift. She also has a knack for being somewhat involved in discovering dead bodies. Which her sometimes boyfriend cop Tom doesn't care for. Also there's this gorgeous ex-military man, Marcus who is really giving her doubts, their attraction is sizzling.

Although I enjoyed the murder storyline, I found myself more curious about Maggie's feelings about her craft/gift. I found the way author explained the certain rituals and celebrations fascinating.

This book was great! Light and fun read. Maggie is a great character and easy to understand. I wish Alt would develop the male characters a little more. I felt that they are still cardboard men and so you don't care either way if Maggie picks Tom over Marcus or vice versa.

I thought this one of the strongest of this series. I really enjoyed the story line and Maggie facing her fears about the magic thing. Someone earlier already reviewed this book so I won't go into the story. Although I think a weak point is that Alt hasn't developed any of the male characters very much at all. So you are always wondering what the big deal is with Tom or Marcus because both of them seem a little cardboard cut out. On the whole, still a light and fun mystery with a little magic thrown in.

This is the 3rd of a series, and as enjoyable as the first two. Maggie is still adjusting to being an empath and trying to pull back from the N.I.G.H.T.S, a paranormal investagations team. She's also noticed that witha third murder in the town in less then 7 months, there is something absolutley batty going around. And then there's the fact that she's attracted to two men, one who is totally not her type.

Third book in the Bewitching Mystery series finds store clerk Maggie O’Neill back in the middle of another murder investigation, this time involving the Amish community outside the small midwestern town of Stony Mill, Indiana. Although the characters are charming, this mystery series is remarkably predictable and somewhat shallow. This third installment may be more comfortable on the Romance shelf rather than sitting among mystery novels.
