Sophie Garou seems to have it all: a great job at a prestigious accounting firm, a closet that rivals a Nordstrom showroom, and a terrific boyfriend who isn’t afraid to use the “M” word. There’s just one little itty-bitty problem: Sophie is a werewolf -- and her time of month has a whole new...
Sophie Garou: Main character, werewolf. She is a half-blood werewolf, her mother being a human wiccae. She has lived in Austin for most of her life, believing that there were no werewolves in Austin were she lives. She is not welcome in Europe because of her heritage, which is where her father is. She is an auditor, and her boyfriend Heath is a lawyer. Her life as a werewolf is very awkward because she must shave her legs for her human life, but that transfers when she shifts, a wolf with shaved legs.
Heath: Sophie's boyfriend, he is a lawyer, and likes Sophie a lot. There is nothing wrong with their relationship, and he doesn't know that Sophie is a werewolf, so her mandatory shifts to werewolf strain their relationship.
Lindsey: Sophie's bestfriend, she doesn't know that Sophie is a werewolf, and she is very outgoing in her relationships. She begins to date the werewolf Tom, and Sophie must stand by, knowing that she can't stop her with out exposing herself.
Tom: Tom is a born werewolf, full-blooded, and he is originally from Norway. He has no pack, and is hired by different packs, making a home impossible. He takes care of things for them (intended to be vague). He happens across Sophie while on a job for the Houston pack. He begins to date Sophie's best friend, trying to get closer to Sophie.
Ted Brewster: A political figure that was killed by poison recentally. Sophie's mother was a suspect, since the poison that killed him was found in a love potion that she sold Ted. He is a sexually orintated guy, with many secrets. He bought the love potion because he liked the librarian.
“I have a secret. A big, fat, hairy secret. And I’m not talking minor-league stuff, like I once let Joseph Applebaum feel me up behind the seventh-grade stairwell or I got a Brazilian wax after work last Friday or I’m hiding a neon blue vibrator called the Electric Slide in my night table. Which I’m not, by the way. In case you were wondering.”
