This is the third instalment of the Midnight Breed series, and it is the best of the lot.

The plot thickens. Elise, who lost her only son to the Rogues in the last instalment, leaves the safety of the Darkhavens sanctuary to carry out a one-woman vendetta against the enemies and their human henchmen, the Minions. Not a bad series. Then again, not a great series either. It'll probably be taking a trip to the UBS as my book shelves are strating to protest. It's a vamp romance that has some originality to the whole vampire myth, but Adrian's execution (and writing style) leave something to be desired. Perhaps J.R. This series turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I actually stumbled upon it in a drug store! What is it about a wounded, troubled male who will readily give his life for you? Hmmm....let me think. LOL

I finally got my book and enjoyed it. It annoyed me when Tegan refused Elise a few too many times. I hoped that she would have made him work a little harder for her forgiveness before finally taking him back. I also wanted to see how Dante reacted when he found out Rio had his hands around Tess's neck. I look forward to the next book.
