Did anyone else read this book and find themselves unable to distinguish it from Judy Blume's Summer Sisters?

P.S. I like Summer Sisters better, but I still liked The Last Summer (of you and me) anyway :-)

I could not put this book down, Alice and Paul's love story swept me away. Loved this book.

very slow read -- the story was good, but at points just kinda walked along when I wished it would jog a little faster though the action. I liked the titles of the chapters, it was interesting to see the ways the chapter titles connected to several elements of the chapter content. Don't know if I would recommend, unless you wanted something low key for at the beach.

I am finding this a slow read, but I am enjoying the book a lot. Not as good as the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series though
