Grades 8-10. Jen's life is great. She's a respected member of the school newspaper, has good friends, and a fantastic boyfriend. When Max breaks up with her Jen is devistated. In an effort to help, her nana gives her a book called "The Breakup Bible". With the help of the book, her family, and friends and by immersing herself in writing an article about race relations in her school, Jen finds healing. A bit of a cliche ending by enjoyable nonetheless. Recommend this to fans of 13 Little Blue Envelopes.

The break bible is just another teen love story about girl going through he first brake up. As all teenagers, the main character in this book thinks that her relationship with her boyfriends will last forever and ever. In this case ( as it is always) the relationship comes to an end because the guy thinks that its time to be friends. The main character gets depressed over this situation and doesn't know how to move on. Her grandmother decides to help her out and buys her "the break up bible" She thinks its foolish and doesn't want to read it. Soon she has no choice but she has to read it. She notices that things start to get better and learns that she has to move on. I didn't enjoy this book so much because it sounds just like another chick book and those get old after a while. I would recommend it to people who actually like these kinds of things but for me it wasn't deep enough and too childish.

Jen is a junior girl who is going through her first breakup, with a boy named Max. She loved Max very much, and he supposedly loved her. She already had their futures planned out, and, well, she was very ecstatic about he relationship with Max. Then one day, out of the blue, Max comes along and thinks that it'd be better off if they weren't together. And that was that. Jen spiraled into depression. As an attempt at cheering her up, her grandmother buys Jen a book called the Breakup bible. Jen is still in denial and is hesitant about reading a book that was 'stupid' and 'useless' because it taught her how to get over the guy she loved. She thought that was impossible and so refused to read the book. Eventually, with the support of her friends and family, she eventually warms up to the idea of reading the book, and as silly as it sounds, it does help her little by little. The book has a wonderful ending [not going to spoil it]. I, personally, loved the book very much. I loved it for two reasons. The first reason was that it was easy to relate to, because I'm sure each person has gone through such a point in their lives at least once. The second reason I like this book was the way it was written. Kantor uses a lot of imagery and other literary elements to make this a very interesting read.

It was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I had a great time reading it because it was very differnet from the other love books I have read. It was original. Very much like a fresh spin to the words of the love story. I also thought the article of races was a Amazing bonus. It was great because you are read what you want but you get to learn something that is world based. I like that. Have in mind te autor has made other great books.

I liked this book because I could relate to it because it was about people breaking up. I also liked how the book would make you think something was going to happen but then it would always change. In the book the girl who got dumped got a book from her grandma, and I liked how at some points you were reading a book in the book. I thought the book was going to be different because I thought that the book was going to help them get back together and i didn't think that we were going to read the breakup bible in the book.

The story is about a girl that has break-up problems, and leave it to mom to buy a book titled "Break up Bible"
