  “After trying other programs (including the one in The Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer) and finding myself injured one too many times, I discovered this book and switched to a walk/run program. Finally, an author who speaks to regular people like me! This program enabled me to complete my first marathon in Disney World, January 2007. I was THRILLED to be able to have my book signed by John Bingham and Jenny Hadfield while I was there!
  
  I highly recommend this book to ANYONE considering tackling a marathon or half marathon!”

  “Anyone who even thinks about running or walking a marathon should get this book. The Penguin is so on target with all of his advice and he gives it with such a great sense of humor that it gets you through all of the tortures of training. Having him announce my name as I was crossing the finish line of my first Marathon made it that more special!”
