Personally, I loved, loved, loved this book. I enjoyed some of his others, but this one resonated with me. I found something of myself in her, in that I am in that spiritual process of looking for my answers deeply. And as with Athena, I find myself not allowing convention or theorys get in the way. And sometimes the process can be a lonely one and sacrifices must be made. But in the end nothing is really sacrificed. I feel the story is a metaphor for any human on the planet. Aren't we all in some sense on a search? For Being?

Liked it for the way it is told. How other's take each action or word of your's.. Even if it should not bother much, for the simple pleasure of knowing how one's actions influence other's . Liked the tit-bits of philosophy too

A soul-searching and introspective book that can take you on a road to self-discovery. Paulo Coelho proves that he is a master story-teller. The beauty is the simplicity with which intriguing and complex ideas and thoughts are explained ... like your next door neighbour is revealing to you gems of wisdom and deep insights.

A Fantabulous book that can actually make the reader look at life from a different perspective, and give a new meaning to their life. Jus like "The Alchemist" this book too is a must for every one who's wanting a break from their mechanical life and needs some soul searching to be done.. To quote from the book, for people who are wanting to add pauses and breaks to the Sound (life) and make it musical.
