“A Wonderful Cinderella story with some new twists and turns.... I loved to read the scenes between Sophie and Benedict. How lovely they r and such fun to read.....
Sophie is the bastard child of an Earl who declares her to be his ward but any fool can see who she really is and even she knows. When the Earl marries, Sophie is happy to know that now she may have a mother and sisters... but to her despair, the new countess despises her and so does her elder daughter but the younger one is always friendly though she can never voice her support infornt of her mother and sister.
Things turn worse when the Earl dies and leaves Sophie under the Countess's care, her position turns from a ward to housemaid overnight.
When she attends a masquerade ball. with the help and persuasion of the staff of the house, she finds her prince charming, but has to leave b4 midnight and without revealing her identity. Benedict tries to find ' the lady in silver' but she seems to have vanished from the face of earth. And when the Countess suspects Sophie she throws her out of the house.
Two years later, Benedict and Sophie meet again, this time he rescues her and takes her to his cottage. He finds himself attracted to her though she is a housemaid.... he wants her. When he offers her to be his mistress she refuses and he takes her to his mother's house with a promise of a job...
But what will happen when the truth comes out... will he accept her??
