A fantastic book! I didn't love Benedict as much as the characters in the previous books, but it was a fresh and jolly novel, fast-moving and sweet. I read this updated version of Cinderlla in one two-hour sitting. Delightful.

I don't get it. I like all the other Bridgerton books other than the last one, where the author surgically removed the heroine's spine, but I just couldn't get into this one. I'm not sure why. Maybe because the heroine was more desperate? Or that Benedict wasn't all that exciting? I don't know. It just didn't work for me.

Julia Quinn takes the old fairytale, Cinderella and makes it into her own with An Offer from a Gentleman.
I enjoyed this book, as I always do with JQ's works.
