When I first started reading this book over the summer it was very intriguing, learning about how the body worked when you didn't eat food and all the different things that your body goes through when you haven't eaten in a while. Though after sometime of this the book begins to turn into stories about past hunger issues and how the peoples body reacted how it did to the certain foods they were given access to. As people starved from genocide, natural disaster or self will it didn't hold my attention. Overall I didn't enjoy the book and wouldn't recommend it to people who don't specifically want to know why certain things happen when our bodies battle hunger in a more scientific aspect.
