“An account of a airman's rehabilitation back in his ancestral home during the second world war and his subsequent paranoia regarding his housekeepers, who he believes are trying to convince doctors that he may be insane and should be incarcerated. The invalid firmly beleives they are after his inheritance money. A well told tale in the first person. Quite ponderous in parts as a lot of Wheatley books tend to be but a good story nontheless.”
