Outstanding! Easy to read and full of valuable information on how your pet (or other animal) actually thinks and sees the world around it. It is also full of valuable, real-world examples of how to handle this and also full of valuable insight into people and how we think. Temple Grandin, the...

Not particularly well-written, but very thought-provoking. Grandin's clarity about what animals experience, her compassion and practicality are striking. Note how she clarifies and simplifies the check-list for meat packers. If we could only do this for schools, parents, marriages or our government--how life would be improved! Well worth reading!

A good book that can teach a lot about animals, despite Dr. Grandin's employment in the animal slaughtering business. The books shows deep insight into why animals from dogs and cats to horses and cows do what they do. Whether that's due to Grandin's autism, or to her intense interest and ability, I don't know. It's a great book that the animal rights community should read and chew on.

Very profound view of how animals think. One of the best.

I found this book fascinating at first, but kind of had to slog through the last 1/3 as it gets a bit repetitious. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone interested in animal behavior and/or autism. She draws some remarkable conclusions and cites interesting research.

excellent book. Author is autistic and she feels that autistic people are in between animals and humans and therefore, she is good at understanding animals.
