Grandin's clarity about what animals experience, her compassion and practicality are striking. Note how she clarifies and simplifies the check-list for meat packers. If we could only do this for schools, parents, marriages or our government--how life would be improved! Well worth reading!”

The books shows deep insight into why animals from dogs and cats to horses and cows do what they do. Whether that's due to Grandin's autism, or to her intense interest and ability, I don't know. It's a great book that the animal rights community should read and chew on. ”

Overall, I would recommend it to anyone interested in animal behavior and/or autism. She draws some remarkable conclusions and cites interesting research. ”
