Not nearly as good as Wizard's First Rule or Stone of Tears. Once the characters started coming back together at the end, the book improved dramatically. The mordsith were the best part of this installment.”

It's really pathedic when Richard's parts are boring....and an older ladies part is more interesting. It took the book a LONG while to FINALLY pick up. It just seem to go ON AND ON about Richard's speech.
OH the imperial is the bad one, there going to take over the world. SO I'm going to say EVERYONE HAS to join me or join the enemy. I HATED that it was long winded and dull. Because maybe they don't want to join either side, he was acting like a control freak plus that stuff was BORING for the most part. Kahlan took a while to be in it. Also it was the point of view of someone from the Blood of the Fold, he's evil and gets killed anyway. I DIDN'T CARE what his thoughts were and what he was up too.
IT DID HOWEVER manage to get REALLY GOOD! PRETTY MUCH the moment who was using a glamour spell got sliced up, it FINALLY started to get good!”
“As usual I am finding out that once hooked on this series, it holds your imagination until it is trough with you. Very good read!”

Dedicated to eradicating all those with magic, this fanatic cult destroys anyone in their path. Only Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell can once again fight for freedom and save their people. Richard’s wizard powers become stronger with each book, and so does the love between him and Kahlan. Nothing will keep them apart, not even betrayal among their own ranks, shadowy creatures of the evil Keeper, or the Sisters of the Dark. As Richard strives to unite all the lands,
his enemies foster unrest back home in an attempt to destroy him and all those he loves.
