“This is the kind of story I enjoy. Well, at least til Etrigan the rhymer shows up. Kevin Smith goes crazy with the dialogue in here. In the forward he mentions that fans sent him plenty of hate mail with complaints like, "all they do is talk!". Funny thing is, they seemed to eat it up! Green Arrow has always been a favorite of mine for no other reason than I wanted to be Robin Hood as a little boy. That all changed when I went to YMCA camp. Imagine a bean pole 7 year old trying to pull back on a bow. The dang arrow literally fell at my feet. That just made RH and GA all the more cool in my book.
This is the first series that I ever read starring the emerald warrior though, and I must say he is something else. He's a flaming liberal nut-job that grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's a little jaded, and quite conflicted. It makes him all the more interesting. The other interesting thing about this story is that he supposedly died ten years ago. Now, he's back, and he's angry at everyone for thinking that he was dead. His take? Dude, I wasn't dead.
So far so good, I really am enjoying it, and I think Etrigan is gone. (Why do writers feel compelled to add him to their stories???)”
“AWESOME!!!”
