I read all of The Belgariad books in rapid succession and enjoyed them, but didn't find them memorable.

I think the book was pretty good and I like the part where Durnik hit and knocked down Bill. I also liked the part where Belgarath tells everyone at Faladors farm about how three gold miner went into Marag forrest.

I've read this whole series of 12 books over fifty times! My absolute favorite.

This was the very first "high fantasy" book I ever read. It is also one of my favorites. I adore this series. It is the story of a boy named Garion who grows up to learn about his great heritage. I think these books are very accessible and very entertaining. They are very character-based, with a lot of sarcastic humor thrown around. I read these books at least once a year.

This was one of my favorite series when I was in high school, but I have long since outgrown it. Stereotypes and cardboard characters do not hold up to the test of time.

No Elves. Check. No Dwarves. Check. Not a bad Tolkien rip off. Check. Just finished reading this book and seems like a fine start to a series.

This is a great first book in a great series. I've read the series multiple times and just started it again last month. The witty dialogue makes me laugh out loud at times. Some of the characters (like Silk) are so sarcastic that I wish they were real and lived in my house!

The story is slow to start and leaves you rather wanting, but considering there are four more books in the series, I'm not really surprised. It's enough to make me want to read the next book, though so far I'm not as in love with this series as I was with The Elenium.
