Although these comics were kind of a downer, by the end I really like this collection. Tomine has a way of eating your soul and then somehow making you eat it too. And let me tell you, my soul is delicious! Not light reading, but worth while.

I definitely think Adrian Tomine is a talented writer and artist. I did enjoy this collection of stories; however, the stories almost all had a dark feel to them. And while I'm not a reader who needs a happy ending, I kind of lost my interest in reading his stories because I knew there most likely would be an abrupt ending with some less than desirable ending.
