The reason why Cherub is used is because children aren't suspected to be spies unlike adults. In this book of Cherub, the main character James is trapped in Aero City in Russia after two MI5 agents break their cover and are killed. When James is finally rescued, he is interrogated by Cherub about the incident. James had suffered a concussion and had only seen a video of the event so no solid proof could be recovered from him. Because of this he is suspended from missions in Cherub. After this he goes on a birthday trip while his sister Lauren is sent on a mission to find about the history of a girl who was found on a boat wreck. Through Lauren's phone she calls the traffickers who brought her from Russia to get them to find her as they had her brother. When Lauren finds out about this she goes to try and protect her but also gets caught by the traffickers. They are taken to a bar where young girls are forced to pleas the bar guests. However she manages to get help in time and is safe but shaken from the event. When she gets home she finds James cheating on his girlfriend Kerry with another girl called Dana, she freaks out because of what she had just experienced and goes to tell Kerry. After that both girls fight about him in the cafeteria starting a food fight. I like how this book portrays characters. These characters aren't perfect or any better than your average teenager. The situations they are put through are quite out of the ordinary but not uncommon and the way they react to these situations is like the way an adolescent would. I think it is good how Muchamore keeps things down on earth. I also like how James also has his own social life to worry about as well as his missions. This gives the book a more realistic feel and also makes it more interesting. This book isn't one of the best of the Cherub series because the story is long and drawn out but it is still a great book that I would recommend to anyone from 10 to 15”
