This book is edgy and amusing--it takes a look at feminism in the eyes of the women who disrobe for Playboy and Girls Gone Wild and examines how these women have taken gender equality and applied it to taking their clothes off and "seizing control" of their femininity--and what it means for feminism as a valid political movement.

This book has a unique way of telling the history of feminism. It talks about issues that us women have to face everyday, and relates everything in a modern way. The author goes into a lot if detail at times but it comes to me interesting and helpful. Everything she takes about is something you could pick out at the grocery store, mall, school or anything your doing in a public atmosphere. I felt that this book was very interesting to read.

Alright, I'm definitely all for feminism but this book was flat out boring. The author's tone and humor was amusing but the content was boring to me. The only part I found interesting was the first chapter with all the statistics and what not. I don't think I would recommend this to anyone unless they were hardcore feminists.

The basic idea of this book could have been said in a single chapter, but the descriptions of sexual promiscuity are a little gratuitous and I can't help but think the author is reveling in the very thing she complains about.

I read this for a book club in tandem with the Jenna Jameson autobiography. The book reads a bit like a research paper, but puts a voice to what much of America has been thinking. The

Every woman should read this. Then, after they've read it, they should give it to a man in their life, be it a father, brother, boyfriend, husband, brother-in-law etc. Levy does an excellent job of analyzing the chauvinist behaviors we are all guilty of (myself included) and the pressures women face in society today from men and from each other.
