“At first, i found the book quite charming and fascinating. but then the horrible insecurities of the hero broke the magic and made it an insufferable reading. He was soooooooooo annoying with his continuing mistrust of every single word the heroine uttered. and like Janine (the heroine) stated even if the truth slapped him in the face, he'd always think ill of people no matter what. I love to read about a tormented hero who is healed later on by love but i DO NOT love to read about a weak hero who is constantly whining, making excuses and hurting others in the process. Besides, the ending was rushed and i felt absolutely nothing reading it. All i could say in the end was: huh? is that it?
And finally the heroine was too forgiving for my peace of mind.Didin't she ask herself "Will he have these insecurities moods again?"
I can't believe that happily ever after would occur in their case. Love without trust is like life without oxygen JUST USELESS. well i hope he'll go see a shrink who may hopefully help them. i know that i'm a little too harsh on him but don't you sometimes want to tell "men" like Mack (he's more like a big boy): come on get over yourself and move on!!!!!”
