“A tie-in cookbook with the Aubrey/Maturin series of Napoleonic War naval novels.
The intrepid authors recreated recipes for the foods mentioned in the books, from period recipe books where possible, so it's got some interesting details on the research.
They report that "Millers", more generally known as rats, are surprisingly delicious: like rabbit but with a more delicate texture. Don't think I'll be trying that myself anytime soon.”
