“Hmmm...interesting story. A woman with a horrible past ran away years ago, changed her identity, and is now living happily. Then, her past catches up with her. It took me a while to get into this book, partly because things have been so busy here and partly because I didn't feel a huge connection with the characters. I'm not sure I ever really got a sense of who the main character was...either in her old life or in her new one. The book tells us what she does, but not really why or what she's thinking about it.
I didn't dislike the book, but I'm not sure I would really recommend it, either. It was just another story.
