  This was a book that made me feel sad and heavy when I was through. It certainly was NOT a "tragicomedy" as was put in the description on the back of the book, since there was nothing humorous about it. Although I couldn't put it down at times, I kept hoping for the silver lining for these characters that ultimately never shined through. I still give it four stars because of the way it lingered on my mind for days after I finished it.
