This was my first full length novel. I was a youngster too. Younger than highschool - I found it in my grandmothers room while we were on vacation. I had to read at night by flashlight too. (Hilarious) Arguably the most memorable book I've ever read. I've read it a few times to see how my perspective changed over time. Still my favorite!! I think I've read every book Woodwiss wrote after that. Lots of happy reading.

So out of all the romance novel heros, who is your all time favorite? Ruark definately has a vote from me! Oh, and if you were casting him in a movie, what actor would you have play him?

This was my "FIRST"! ...lolPossibly my all time best book ever. I have re-read this one countless times and it remains a classic to me. Ms Woodiwiss will be sorly missed. She was one of "the originals"!Shanna is a timeless love story for anyone who wants to read about a lover who would do anything for his lady. A one in a million story!
