Pern's shipfish/dolphins are remarkable little creatures. They're finally rediscovered!

I Love Pern - anything Pern. Anne McCaffrey's planet, Pern, is where I would like to retire to. This was a particularly fun one.

I've never read an Anne McCaffrey book I haven't liked. However, the original Dragonriders series is on my keeper shelf in both paperback and audiobook form. I re-read/ listen to Dragonflight, Dragonquest, The White Dragon, All the Weyrs of Pern, and The Dolphins of Pern at least once every year. Mrs. McCaffrey's writing makes the characters and scenes come alive, like watching a movie in your head.

I did not like this book at all. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the many other Pern books I've read.
