Characters were well developed and the pacing was excellent. The battle sequences were descriptive and interesting...” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It1 of 1 members found this review helpful“It's a Shannarra book from Terry Brooks, what should you expect? Obvious and blatant Tolkien rip-off but if you really love the genera then it is possible to overcome your sense of shame and consume this off-brand confection with a facsimile of the delight you had when reading the original.” see full review » see other reviews » |

And what I can remember quite dark in the second book... I just simply love Terry Brooks books.”

The story has the exact same feel, which is a good thing, and the characters are all likable. This is part of an ongoing series of stories in the Shannara world, but it's the only one i've read and it reads as a stand alone story so that's a plus. I liked it enough to where I look forward to eventually move on to the next book.”

I have picked this book up several times, then forgot about it, but i am determined to get through this time. :)”
