“The romance in this one is fairly similar to the one in Wishsong and just as heartbreaking, but still wonderful. Walker continues to be the shining character of this series.”

“Not bad. This book wasted 300 pages on traveling around the ancient city . Not much progress. You can fit this in a 200-page book. ”

“I don't like Walker Bho all that much and since the entire book is centered around him, it wasn't great. But Morgan went along with him and Quickening was just beautiful. The ruins of the Old World were amazing. It was good, but not near my favorite.”

“Another reviewer said that this second Shannara trilogy was a recycling of the quests in the first. I agree, but since I've waited about five years since my last Terry Brook's book, I'm struck anew by his talent. ”
