“Movie vs. Book: I read the book way before seeing the movie. Then recently I saw the movie and enjoyed it too. Obviously there are challenges in adapting PKD to the screen, but I thought they did a pretty good job. The book makes more sense from a narrative standpoint, but the movie does a great job of bringing the characters to life in a more contemporary setting. While re-reading the book I noticed how dated the writing seems now (the early 70's "groovy" aesthetic now seems rather quaint). Both book and movie are interesting pieces of art by themselves. Thoughts? ”
