“On her death bed, Sebastian’s mother begs her son never to seek out his father. Of course, reeling from loneliness and loss Sebastian searches for his father and discovers him to be a very powerful wizard that hates the Chanku.
It seems every where Sebastian goes young woman are being raped then torn apart by wolves. Sebastian is also having memory gaps, and his father begins to accuse Sebastian of these crimes. You see, Sebastian is a wizard with the ability to magically shift to a wolf.
Lily Cheval is the daughter of the Chanku alpha. She is under pressure to discover the culprit behind these murders before the public turns against the wolf shifting Chanku population. Leads are sending her toward Sebastian, but the more she gets to know him the more she realize there is no evil in him…and he just might be her perfect mate.
Dark magic verses love magic and the goddess mother earth will come to a head in this extremely erotic and sexual tale. The Chanku are a socially sexual people, even though mating bonds are for life sexual acts are permitted throughout the group.
Dark Wolf was a hot and steamy read with an extremely original take on alien shifting beings, goddesses, alternate plains of existence and a powerful evil. The bases of the plot had a few open or conflicting issues but this story did have a lot going on. In the end, the moral to the book shown through...discovering where you belong, finding true family and friendship is the key to happiness, power and love. 3.5 Stars.
This ARC copy of Dark Wolf was given to me by Kensington Books - Aphrodisia in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication on April 30, 2013.”
