A disappointingly unremarkable sequel to a masterpiece.

This book answered so many questions left over from Hyperion. The two books together were some of the best science fiction I've ever read!

This "sequel" is actually completes the narrative of the first Hyperion, and so is not truly a sequel in itself, but a continuation of the plot of Hyperion. Hyperion has a kind of psuedo-ending, so for the full experience, I recommend that readers read "The Fall Of Hyperion" too.

As far as I'm concerned this book should just be sold combined with Hyperion. When I finished the first one i found the forced intermission to be insufferable and i immediatly went out and purchased this one. Highly recommend to any sci-fi fan

Possibly the best sci fi I have ever read, and I've read quite a few. Along with Hyperion, a real masterpiece of the genre. Not a light read, but a deep novel with lots of themes. If you want to see how it can be done, this is the book to choose, along with Hyperion. I'm looking forward to reading Endymion and his other books.

Hyperion had set such a high standard that it would have been very difficult to match it. Dan Simmons does give it a good try and almost makes it. An enjoyable read.
